Carole Smith

Welcome to the School of Magic Strings, my violin studio in my west Denver home, next to South Table Mesa.  My students—children and adults—come from all over the Denver, Golden, and mountain areas.

With a Master’s degree in Violin Performance, I have performed extensively in Colorado, and have been teaching violin for 25 years.

My teaching and learning philosophy is based on traditional and Suzuki approaches.  My teaching is tailored to each student, and focuses on finding joy and discipline in music.  I offer students the opportunity to learn folk music of many cultures, as well as classical music and other genres.

Students have the opportunity to participate in two or three recitals a year and performing events such as playing at art galleries, in parades, and at weddings.  Group sessions are also available to play chamber music, from early Baroque pieces to 20th century music.

  • Suzuki and traditional approach to classical and folk music
  • Private and group lessons for children and adults
  • 25 years experience as a music teacher and Master's degree in Violin Performance
  • My students have played in the premier youth orchestras, including the DYAO and CYSO.

I currently have openings. Call me at 303 277 0619 or e-mail me at schoolofmagicstrings@gmail.com for tuition and references from parents.
